The lowest earners in the field - typically new hires, apprentices, and those in junior roles earn between £15 and £20K annually. On the other hand, the top ten percent of insurance professionals make upwards of £40K. The overall UK-wide average for the sector is about £25,000 per annum, but those in London average nearly £46,000. Throughout the rest of the UK, average salaries remain fairly constant. Other popular areas for employment in the Insurance industry include Bristol and Leeds.

Jobs in the industry usually, but not always, require university degrees and certain professional certifications. The latter can typically be obtained while working in an entry-level position, and are often even paid for by the employer.
