Administration / secretarial candidates can expect to work a standard 9-5 week, however the industry in Yorkshire is seeing an increase in the number of part time and flextime employees. The average salary for admin workers in the county is less than that of the rest of the UK, but can range between £16K-£25K per annum depending on the particular job role. Leeds is considered one of the country's biggest financial centres outside of London and this sector usually offers the highest pay for administrative professionals in the region.
Qualifications that local job seekers will need
The administration industry doesn't have particularly high entry requirements, but candidates may find themselves starting in a more menial role. Non graduates are the most common entrants into the field, but they may be encouraged by their employer to gain an industry related qualification.
