Care Manager recruitment agencies - Nursing Homes
The recruitment of care managers is centred around sourcing senior personnel who are responsible for running a residential nursing home. Candidates for this role are typically placed by healthcare or social care employment agencies, however many multi-sector recruiters will also find qualified staff for care management jobs.
The job role
A care manager will be hired by a nursing home to take charge of the day-to-day service provided to residents. The job role is multifaceted and may include recruiting and training staff, managing budgets, supporting resident independence, building community relationships and maintaining high standards of health and care.
The care manager will be expected to make sure that their home meet the standards of care as set by bodies such as the Care Quality Commision (CQC).
Recruiting care managers
As the need for care increases, so does the demand for registered care managers. Although qualifications aren’t a prerequisite for the role, recruiters may favour those with nursing and / or management accreditations. Experience is key, however, and an agency will look for candidates with at least two years of working in a healthcare or social care management position.
Jobs are available within local authorities, charities and NHS organisations, however recruitment agencies will also work with private nursing homes.
