Most Popular Towns for Driving in Warwickshire
The English county of Warwickshire is part of the wider region of the country called the West Midlands. Its county town is Warwick, but its single largest town is Nuneaton.
Whilst Warwickshire is a relatively rural county, its importance to the UK economy cannot be underestimated. Its location at the heart of the country makes it the perfect location for haulage and distribution companies, as it has great access to the north of England and Scotland, the south east of England and the rest of the West Midlands. Employment opportunities for HGV and goods drivers are plentiful, as the county enjoys the transport links offered by the M40, M6 and M69 motorways.
Warwickshire's location in the West Midlands also means that drivers of all types have access to the thousands of driving positions in the nearby cities of Birmingham and Coventry. Birmingham in particular has the largest network of bus routes outside London, so drivers with PCV licences have the chance of working with local bus operators. The area is also served by a large number of courier firms which employ driving staff regularly - albeit it on a self-employed basis much of the time. Other driving opportunities offered by West Midlands recruitment agencies include those for plant drivers, driving instructors and ambulance technicians.
