The South West of England is often also colloquially known as the 'West Country' and broadly comprises the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Covering a vast region of the country, the South West is actually only home to about 5 million people, making it one of the least densely populated regions of England.
