A Business Analyst will need a relevant degree, preferably in a business background - although there is no one definite route to becoming an Analyst. Experience of a technical nature is often sought by companies recruiting Analysts, and recruitment agencies will be looking for someone with strong Analytical skills and expertise in a chosen field to ensure they are suitable.

Top Business Analysts have a high earning potential of around £100k annually, with an average remuneration of circa £50k. They work in a multitude of sectors and may sometimes cross over into the realm of Project Management and Consultancy.
Employment within the Financial Sector along with Telecommunications and Utilities is often on offer for Business Analysts with many larger organisations. There has been a skills shortage identified regarding the need for experienced Business Analysts as the IT infrastructures of companies continue to grow and demand for experienced staff intensifies. Recruitment agencies will be looking for Analysts with stand out expertise and knowledge to present to their clients.
