Travel Agent recruitment agency listing
Travel is a service industry dedicated to excellent customer service and safety. The mission is to ensure that every holiday can have the potential to be the holiday of a lifetime and that every business trip runs smoothly.
Jobs in the industry can range from those on cruise ships to travel agencies, resort reps, catering staff, management roles, sales positions … The list is endless and the sky’s the limit as far as ambition is concerned.
Those candidates who aim for management positions – in hotels, on cruise liners, or even on aircraft – may have studied for a degree in leisure and tourism, or a specific field, like hotel management. For resort reps or bar jobs or other lower level positions, an NVQ in tourism may be useful, or employers and recruitment agencies could look first at prior experience.
Individuals who are people persons, with a fabulous customer service attitude are best for employment in the travel industry.
Salaries range from around £10,000 p.a. for very junior, low responsibility jobs, to well over £50,000 p.a. for highly trained management jobs. Many jobs in this industry are very well paid because there may only be full time work for around 8 months of the year.
