Lincolnshire extends from its southern fenlands to industrial centres of Scunthorpe and the Port of Grimsby. Once solely a fishing port, Grimsby now serves the growing offshore energy industry and is the UK’s major terminal for car imports handling over 500,000 imports a year.
The County Town, the Cathedral City of Lincoln, recently received a £140m investment into its University creating over 3000 new jobs and major boost to the local economy.

Overall, the County is notable for its farming, food production, petroleum refineries, steel milling and logistics with Tata Steel, based in Scunthorpe, Europe’s second largest steel producer employing over 4000 people. Other large employers include international Two Sisters Food Group; engineering specialists and construction industry related businesses including Cape Industrial Services and nationwide electrical contractor Watson Norie.
